A profile that looks like a person is the fastest way to get anything out of Glubler. It decides what people see when they find your Glublers, and it is how others recognise you.
Everything on this page is in Settings. Open it from your profile picture in the top right, or go straight to glubler.com/settings.
Your Display Name is the name shown next to your profile picture and on everything you post or glue. This is the name other people will recognise you by, and you can change it whenever you like.
You will usually have set one during registration. Adding a Title is optional but worth doing, since it sits directly under your name and gives people an instant sense of what you do. Something short works best, a few words at most.
Keep it short and honest, and change it as your focus changes. A title that is six months out of date is worse than no title at all.
Your profile photo appears next to your name on your profile, on the sites you glue, and anywhere you interact. It is the fastest way for people to recognise you, so it is worth adding early.

Note: Your photo is cropped to a square from the centre, so the important part of the image should be in the middle. Faces in the middle of a wide photo will be cropped; faces near an edge may be cut off.
You can remove your photo at any time, which returns you to the default placeholder.
These are all optional, but a profile with a photo and a short description gets noticeably more responses than an empty one.

On the bio specifically: two or three genuine sentences beat a long paragraph every time. Say what you work on or care about, and what you are happy to talk about. You can change it as often as you like.
Click Save Changes when you are done. Your details are private to you until you have people following and interacting with you.
Your username is the last piece of your profile address, and it is how people find you. It is also the one field you should think twice about, because changing it changes your link.
Your profile lives at glubler.com/yourusername. If you change your username, the old link stops working and you have to share the new one. If you already have collections shared or people following you, this affects them too. Pick something you are happy to keep.
Usernames have to be unique, and are up to 30 characters. Pick something readable rather than something clever.
You can link your other accounts to your Glubler profile, so people who find you here can find you elsewhere.
Go to Settings → Social Networks. You will see a row for each supported network. Click Add, type your username on that platform, and save.
Type just your username, not a full link. Glubler adds the address for you, so on Instagram you type yourhandle, and on LinkedIn you type the part that comes after linkedin.com/in/. If you paste a full link anyway, Glubler trims it down to the username.
Click the × on any row to remove that link.
Note: Adding a social network is a link, not a connection. Glubler does not sign in to these accounts, does not import anything from them, and does not see your followers there. It never contacts the platform, and the link is only used to send someone to your profile on that site.
You can also sign up and sign in to Glubler with Google. If you already have a Glubler account with the same email address, Google sign-in will use that account rather than creating a second one.
Social links help people find you. Following works the other way round, and it is what actually makes your feed useful.
Following someone means their saved sites start showing up in your feed. You can find people to follow through your profile suggestions, or by visiting a profile directly.
You can also track a person's public Glublers. Tracking is a closer signal than following, and sites from people you track carry more weight in your feed. If you find someone whose taste matches yours, following them is usually enough to start with.
You can change how much of your feed comes from the people you follow under Settings → Tune Feed.

No. You can glue, follow, and share without filling anything in. A profile photo and a name are simply the difference between a profile people respond to and one they scroll past.

Your profile moves to the new address and the old one stops working. Anyone following you stays connected, but you will need to share the new link yourself.
No. They are saved as a link on your profile and nothing more. Nothing is imported from those accounts, and Glubler cannot post to them or see anything private.
At the moment, Google is the only external sign-in option. You can also sign in with your email address and password.
Glubler does not use phone numbers. Your account is identified by your email address, and that is all that is needed to sign in.
No. Images are processed to a fixed size when you upload, so they load quickly wherever your profile appears.
