Glubler offers multiple ways to find and join communities that match your interests, values, and goals. This guide will help you discover groups, pages, and events that are relevant to you.
Finding the right communities can significantly enhance your Glubler experience by connecting you with like-minded people and content that matters to you.
Discovering Groups
Using the Groups Directory
The Groups directory helps you find communities by interest:
1. Click "Groups" in the main menu
2. Select the "Discover" tab
3. Browse recommendations or use filters
4. Click "Join" for groups that interest you
Group Categories
Explore groups by category:
- Local Community
- Hobbies & Interests
- Entertainment & Arts
- Sports & Fitness
- Support
- Business & Finance
- And many more
Friend-based Recommendations
Find groups your friends participate in:
1. In the Groups tab, select "Suggested for You"
2. Look for groups showing mutual friends as members
3. You can see how many of your friends belong to each group
Finding Pages to Follow
Pages represent brands, public figures, businesses, and organizations:
- Search - Type a name in the search bar at the top of any Glubler page
- Suggested Pages - Check your "Pages you may like" recommendations
- Trending Pages - Look for pages that are currently trending in your region
- Friend Activity - See pages your friends have recently liked or mentioned
Tip: When you see content from a Page in your feed that you enjoy, click on the Page name to visit and follow it for more similar content.
Interest-Based Networks
Hashtag Following
Follow hashtags related to your interests:
1. Click on a hashtag in any post
2. On the hashtag page, click "Follow"
3. You'll now see top posts with this hashtag in your feed
Interest Lists
Create custom lists based on interests:
1. Go to "News Feed" in the sidebar
2. Click "See More" > "Interests"
3. Select "Create List"
4. Add Pages and people related to that interest
Topic Suggestions
On mobile, explore the Topics section:
1. Tap the menu icon
2. Scroll to find "Topics"
3. Browse or search topics to follow
4. Tap "Follow" for topics that interest you
Finding Events
Discover events you might want to attend:
- Events Tab - Click "Events" in the main menu to see upcoming events
- Calendar View - Browse events by date using the calendar interface
- Location-based - Find events happening near you with the "Near You" filter
- Online Events - Filter for virtual events you can join from anywhere
- Friends' Events - See events your friends are attending or interested in
Improving Recommendations
Update Your Interests
Help Glubler understand what you like:
1. Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings
2. Select "News Feed Preferences"
3. Click "Manage Favorites"
4. Add people, Pages, and groups you want to see more from
Provide Feedback
When you see recommended content that's not relevant:
1. Click the three dots (•••) in the top-right of the post
2. Select "Hide post" or "See fewer posts like this"
3. This helps improve future recommendations
Remember: The more you interact with content related to your interests, the better Glubler becomes at recommending relevant communities and content.
