Glubler Privacy Policy

Glubler is a place to collect and organise websites you like, and to share them with other people. That is a smaller job than most social networks do, and it means the information involved is narrower too.
This page explains what Glubler actually stores and does with your information, in plain terms. The full legal text lives at glubler.com/privacy, and where this summary and that document differ, the document is the one that applies.
The short version. We store what your account needs — your login, your profile, and the websites you glue. We do not sell your personal information. Your collections are yours, and you decide who sees them.
What We Collect
Everything below is something you gave us, or something that follows from you using the service.

What we do not collect
Glubler is not an advertising social network, so a great deal of the usual collection is simply absent. There is no advertising profile assembled from your activity, no third-party tracking pixels in your feed, and no bought-in contact list.
What We Do With It
- To run your account. Signing you in, showing your profile, and serving back the Glublers you glued.
- To build your feed. Working out what to show you from the people you follow, what is most glued, and what the AI suggests.
- To keep Glubler running and secure. Rate limiting, fraud checks, and investigating an account that may have been taken over.
- To understand which features get used. In aggregate, so it does not identify you.
- To take payments. If you subscribe. Handled by our payment processor — card details never reach our servers.
What We Share
Your personal information is not sold. What leaves Glubler falls into a few narrow categories:
- With the people you chose to share with. Anyone who can see a Glubler can see the websites inside it. Settings → Privacy & Data lets you decide whether your profile and your glublers are visible at all.
- With service providers who host the site, send email, or process payments, under confidentiality obligations.
- Where the law requires it. Valid legal requests, and anything needed to prevent fraud or harm.
- In aggregated form that cannot be traced back to you.
Harmful Websites Are Rejected
Glubler checks every website you try to save against community-maintained blocklists covering adult content, gambling, phishing and fraud, and malware distribution. If a domain matches, the save is refused and nothing is stored.
There is a second layer of checks. A site is also rejected when it has no real page title, serves a generic placeholder icon instead of its own, or is a redirect dressed up as a page it is not. The same checks apply whether you are on the website, the mobile app, the browser extension, importing a CSV, or connecting through MCP.
Why this belongs on a privacy page
Because it is a privacy control for you. Glubler is declining, on your behalf, to store a link to something harmful — and it happens before the save rather than after.
Your Choices
Most of what you control lives in Settings → Privacy & Data:
- Make profile public — turn it off and your profile is not shown to others or listed publicly.
- Show my glublers to others — turn it off and your collections stop being visible.
- Share usage data for analytics — opt out of the anonymous statistics.
- Allow personalized ads — opt out of ad personalisation.
- Receive Glubler updates and survey invitations — choose what you hear from us.
Beyond those toggles:
- Edit your details whenever you like in Profile Settings.
- Take a copy of your data with Settings → Data → Export. See Import / Export Glublers.
- Change your password and close out other active sessions using Forgot Your Password? in Settings.
If you are in the EU, the UK, California, or anywhere else with data protection rights, you can also ask us for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to a particular use of your data. Send any such request to g@glubler.com.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account yourself, without emailing anyone:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the bottom of Privacy & Data
- Click Delete Account
- Confirm
Your profile, glublers, comments, likes, follows and trackings go with it. Backup copies may persist for a short period before expiring, and anything another person has already reshared is outside our control.
Export before you delete. This cannot be undone, and Glubler cannot restore a collection afterwards. A CSV from Settings → Data → Export takes seconds and is the only copy you would have.
Security, Cookies and Children
Security
Passwords are held as hashes, sign-ins are tracked so a compromised account can be spotted and closed, and harmful domains are refused before storage. As with any online service, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we offer no absolute guarantee.
Cookies
Cookies keep you signed in and remember preferences such as your language. Analytics and advertising cookies follow the toggles in Settings → Privacy & Data. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser, though that will sign you out.
Children
Glubler is not intended for anyone under 13, or under the minimum age where you live. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the service changes. Material changes are posted here, and continuing to use Glubler after that constitutes acceptance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Glubler sell my data?
No. The policy states plainly that personal information is not sold to third parties. What is shared is what you chose to share, what service providers need to run the site, and what the law requires.
Can Glubler see the websites I save?
No. Glubler stores a website's address and some public metadata about it, such as its title and icon. It does not read, store or index the contents of the pages themselves. Opening a site from your Glubler is an ordinary visit between you and that site.
Can I use Glubler without anyone seeing my collections?
Yes. In Settings → Privacy & Data, turn off both Make profile public and Show my glublers to others. Until you turn them back on, a link to a private collection shows nothing to other people.
What should I do if I think my account was hacked?
Act on it quickly rather than waiting. Settings → Forgot Your Password? lets you set a new password and end your other active sessions, and your login history is what makes an unfamiliar entry visible. See Account Recovery.
Do I need an account to read a Glubler someone shared?
No. Anyone with the link can read a collection you have made visible, so sharing with someone never asks them to sign up first.
Where do I send a privacy question that is not covered here?
